I design amazing rustic wedding invitations to suite your wedding. That means you get exactly what you want, and your invitations match your wedding like no others.
You want to design invitations?
I know what you’re thinking, or might say. Crazy? Right? I know that all of those big brick and mortars are a long way ahead and that I have little chance to catch up. But I have a passion for painting and illustration. And while I am only slightly formally trained in the topic it really doesn’t matter.
When you have passion you don’t need, uh, talent? Ok, that is a little over exaggerated. But I would agree. It is crazy.
All I have to do is look around and I can see that. Popular sites like invitations4u offer invitations with a rustic country look.
But I want to do something different.
While all of those sites offer the standard fare I thought that I would take my years of experience designing cards and invitations for people and combine that with my rural upbringing. What I hope for from this combination is a fresh take on the entire rustic wedding invitation scene. Offering you a brilliant set of invitations that are custom to your wedding celebration instead of the standard copy and paste options you find on some of the other sites.
Custom Wedding Invitations With a Rustic Touch
What does all of this mean to you?
I’m pleased that you asked. While it might seem strange, my idea is a little different that what you would expect from other shops.
If you have ever tried to order invitations, regardless if they are country themed or not, for your event you will see that they are not really made to your specifications. While this is fine for almost any type of celebration sometimes (and I am talking about weddings here) you want to have something that is made to your heart’s desire.
What I am prepossessing is giving you exactly that.
When you place an order for invitations I will work with you to design the perfect look and feel for your wedding.
That means we’ll work through the different design stages together crafting the right look and feel for your rustic wedding.
What You Need to Know
I know that that sounds all fine and good, but there are surely questions on your mind. Many of these have been answered in the FAQ which might give you the information you’re looking for.
If you are interested in learning about the design process I will fill you in a little on how I handle the entire invitation from initial contact to the final design.
The design process is broken down into different steps.
Just like a child needs to learn to crawl before she can walk, we will need to start small. Here is a basic list of steps we will need to take before I can create your rustic wedding invitations.
- The initial contact.
You will need to contact me with your initial ideas. We will use these ideas as a building block for further refinement.
- The Initial mock-up.
After our initial correspondence I will work on a mock-up. A bock up is a basic design that covers the different aspects we have discussed. It will give you a good idea of where the different elements will be positioned, the color scheme and how the text can look.
- The down payment.
At this stage you can choose to continue with the design process. If you choose to go further you will be asked to make a $100 non-refundable down payment. This ensures that you get a slot on our schedule and we will begin refining the rustic aspects of your wedding invitations.
- The roughed out invitation.
Now that we have a working mock-up we will go ahead and begin making some sweeping refinements. At each step you will get a digital proof to inspect. If you see changes that need to be made you can do so before we move forward. Generally speaking you will be looking at going through three to five rounds of revision here. This is a ballpark estimate we’ve found fits for more weddings. Here you can choose to have additional card types designed in the same fashion as your wedding invitation. These are: Save the Date, RSVP, and Thank You cards.
- The final invitation.
Now that we are getting closer to print we will make the last refinements to the layout. Once we move forward any additional changes will incure a re-design fee of $50.
- The final cost.
Everything up until this point has been about making the overall look of the invitation fit your wedding. Now we need to take it to print. This is a stage with many options. We have five unique types of paper that we offer. Though we will use a paper of your specifications for an additional fee. The fee is for material costs and labor. Before the printing process begins you will need to make a final payment. The cost will be based on your choices here. A typical wedding invitation with a custom rustic look will cost about $9. If you choose to include complimentary cards they will be added to the total.
- The payment and printing.
Once the payment clears we will begin printing your rustic country wedding invitations. The complete process takes about a week.
Rustic Wedding Invitations FAQ
When you choose to get married it is filled with a lot of new un-accustomed tasks to complete. Not many people will ever have invitations professionally designed and printed unless it is for their wedding.
With that said there can be a lot of questions that need to be answered.
I’ve put together a list of some common ones I have received to try and help you decide if this is the right solution for you.
- Will you work for free?
No this is not possible. If you would like to have a relatively cheap wedding invitation there are a number of good options that may be what you are looking for. One popular option would be weddingpaperdivas.com.
- I have the design can you print it?
While we are primarily a design and print house we are willing to work with you on having your idea converted to print. One aspect of this that you should be aware of is that we design with our hardware in mind. Our designs reproduce true to their digital counterparts. We cannon guarantee this will be the case with other designs.
- How many invitations may I order?
As many as you would like. There are no maximum orders. But we do impose a minimum order of 25 invitations.
- Is it possible to have my down payment refunded if I am not happy with the invitations?
No as I state elsewhere on the site, the down payment covers the time spent designing the invitation and is non-refundable.
- Can I see my paper options?
We make use of a number of different vendors that offer the same type of paper. While we try to keep all types in circulation they may not always be by the same vendor. That means that slight variations will be present. When you get to the print stage we will work with your and provide you with samples of each option to aide your decision.
- Can I get a rush order?
Generally speaking we can expedite the design of your wedding invitations, but only to a certain degree. We cannot do next day since we focus on designing the invitation with your desires front and center.
- What if my invitations are damaged in delivery?
Though we have never had an issue with the USPS damaging an order (we’re good at packaging) we understand your concern. If for some reason this would happen we are willing to replace the entire order at no additional cost. You will need to send the order back so that we can make a reclamation request with the Post Office.
Getting the right invitation for your wedding, no matter if it is country or now can be tough. I try and make the whole process as simple as possible with the best possible results. The samples you see here are just a few of the ways I have been able to make that happen.
